DCI (Digital Content International) was founded June 2017 by Michael Jay Solomon as an aggregator of television content from countries around the world to be licensed to all media such as TV stations, cable, satellite, digital platforms and Telco’s.

In October 2017, DCI joined forces with Nordic World (NW) and Espen Huseby as an equal partner. NW represent 90% of all independent producers in the Nordic Countries and are masters at licensing formats of productions all over the world. NW also has a catalogue of 2000 titles which are licensed worldwide.

DCI and NW have sales and acquisition executives in most continents who are continually acquiring local TV content and licensing to platforms in many countries including the U.S.

Hollywood entertainment executive and industry pioneer Michael Jay Solomon has pioneered the international marketplace for the American television industry for over 50 years and has chaired major companies in the content distribution business.

Michael FOUNDED Telepictures for $1M in 1978. Thirteen years later (1991), SOLD Lorimar Telepictures to Warner Bros. for $1.4Billion

Michael has served as the Founder, President, Chairman and CEO of several of the largest US television producers and syndication and international media content distribution companies such as United Artists, MCA (VP), Telepictures (Founder, Chairman, and CEO), Lorimar-Telepictures (President) and Warner Bros. (President International).

Espen S. Huseby

Executive Vice President – COO & Europe

Espen S. Huseby is a senior executive with extensive experience in acquiring IPs by enabling new co-productions and running operations in the Nordics and internationally.

Espen has 23 years of experience in the entertainment industry. As President and CEO of Nordic World, Espen has developed NW from a small, factual ready made distributor, to a WW Nordic one-stop shop distributing 90% of scripted and unscripted content from the Nordic region. Espen has created good relations with commercial broadcasters in the Nordic region and forged strong connections within the new generation of talented Nordic producers, in parallel to an extensive international network.

CIC – NBCU: 1994 – 2001 as MD and Co-producer for CIC (JV between Paramount and Universal) and NBCU in Scandinavia

CVC/ORO: 2002 – 2007 as partner in CCV/ORO Film, a independent film and TV distributor in the Nordic region

NORDIC WORLD: Joined Nordic World (Oslo) in March 2008 when Nordic World had TV2 and TV4 (Bonnier) as the largest shareholders. In 2015, Espen bought 100% of the company and Nordic World now represents 90-95% of independent production companies in the region, and maintains partnership agreements with TV 2 Norway, TV4 Sweden, MTV Finland and NRK Norway.
